| Our first tools in exploration are aerial and satellite imaging. This data shows us hydrocarbon intensity, as well as fault and fracture patterns. If we have an excellent hydrocarbon structure, and heavy fracturing in an area, we have high percentage targets. The data also allows us to compare prospective leases to other major finds in the area. Once the quality is established, we use multi-faceted layered soil geochemistry to determine the "HOT SPOTS" in the already "HOT" area. Hydrocarbons percolate vertically and cause many noticeable changes over top of the source. With eight-plus tests on the surface, we greatly reduce the chances of false positives and negatives. Nothing can give you 100% success, but by using satellite imaging to locate "HOT" leases and geochemistry to locate "HOT SPOTS" on that lease we can greatly increase our success. |
